I have had a very interesting conversation with one of my patients on the use of seroquel. She is very sensitive to alcohol and she was prescribed a single dose of Seroquel. What happened to the Seroquel she took recently? She takes a daily dose of one (1) 5 milligram tablet, the usual first dose of Seroquel and she does not get very restless, has not had a few episodes of depression, has had her anxiety checked out and she was fine with that as long as she was not taking any further dose of this medication. In the last few months, the number of depressive episodes in a given patient has increased by two-fold. He has to take the tablets regularly and, in addition to the usual dose, she is now on a higher dose of 5 milligram (which she has now been taking indefinitely and she feels is no more than two milligram (1) 5 milligram tablets.
The Seroquel is taken orally (by mouth). It is important that you complete your course of Seroquel as prescribed by your doctor. You should also complete your course of Seroquel at bedtime. You should take the tablets on an empty stomach, 30 minutes to 1 hour before you go out. You should also take the tablets on an empty stomach, 1 hour before you plan to have a meal.
